William Marshall M (MD) received a Community Access to Child Health grant from the American Academy of Pediatrics. The grant helped fund prevention services to low-income families and their infants in Tucson, Arizona. A recognition luncheon was held on July 14 at Kino Community Hospital. . . . John Strauss M (Res) was named vice chairman of the board of directors for Vital Solutions, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Massachusetts Peer Review Organization, Inc. Vital Solutions was designed to resolve inefficiencies and redundancies in health care quality measurement and improvement through collaborative initiatives with health plans, physicians, consumers, and purchasers.

Mark Carol M (MD) was named founder and chief technology officer of NOMOS Corp. As a recognized expert in stereotactic neurosurgery and intensity modulated radiation therapy, he is responsible for the development of technology and product applications, and acts as the company's representative to the medical and scientific communities.
