Zubkoff ’79, August 2002 Correction Governing Board MembersDavid B. Skinner ’56, a member of the Trustees’ Alumni Council of the College, died January 24. He was 67. Skinner was awarded an honorary doctor of science degree by the University in 1980 and was appointed to the council in 2002. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate and an active member of Psi Upsilon fraternity, Skinner had served as cochair, along with his wife, Mary Tischer Skinner ’56, of their class’s 45th Reunion in 2001. Skinner was named president and CEO of the New York Hospital–Cornell Medical Center in 1987. He presided over the merger of New York Hospital and Presbyterian Hospital, then served as president of the merged hospitals from 1997 until his retirement in 1999.
