Griffith Altmann ’91 (MS), ’01S (MBA) is director of global product strategy for intraocular lens products at Bausch & Lomb. Griffith has been with the company since 1998 and has been granted six patents. . . . Daniel Hess is vice president of strategic marketing at the newspaper company Tribune Interactive.

1991
Edward Fox ’95M (MD) and Grace Hsu ’91 (PhD) announce the birth of their first child, Teddy, on September 6, 2005. “We hope he’ll be in Rochester’s Class of 2027!” they write.

1992
Thomas Knych ’93S (MBA) has been named partner at the Syracuse accounting firm of Fust Charles Chambers. . . . Eric Moskowitz writes, “My wife, Julie, and I announce the birth of our second son, Jack, on June 1, 2005. We live on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. I’m a director of strategy at a Wall Street firm. We send our best wishes to the Rochester community.” . . . Dori Markoff Sedransk and her husband, Noel, announce the birth of their second child, Orly Saige, on October 28, 2005.

1993
Kenneth Suzan, an attorney in Hodgson Russ’s intellectual property and technology practice group, was appointed to a two-year term as a member of the young practitioners subcommittee of the International Trademark Association’s membership services committee. . . . Heather Drazin Udell writes, “My husband, Curt, and I would like to announce the birth of our son, Jacob Elias (Coby), on November 27, 2004. We live in Maryland.”

1994
Pamela Simon Adelman (see ’95). . . . Kim Babat-Yonaty received the Ruth and Milton Kahn Stovroff Award from the Jewish Federation of Greater Buffalo last November. The award is presented annually to a woman under 45 who has demonstrated outstanding leadership in the community. . . . Grace Bacon and Tony Garcia were married on July 15, 2005, in Scituate, Mass. Grace writes, “I was thrilled that Noah and Pam Collins Matson, Nora Gelperin, Bob ’93 and Stephanie Connors Corey, and Susana Valazquez LaRiccia ’92 were able to attend.” Grace is a partner with the law firm of Morrison Mahoney. She is a trial attorney in the Boston office, specializing in commercial, construction, and product liability litigation.

1995
Robert and Pamela Simon Adelman ’94 write, “We welcomed our second child, Allison Bari, on November 26, 2005. Allison joins her big sister, Rachel, and beagle named Molar.” . . . David Montague ’97S (MBA) and his wife, Stephanie, announce the birth of their second child, Ari Jake, on April 26, 2005. Ari joins his big sister, Samantha. David is a vice president for GE Commercial Finance in New York City, and Stephanie is an ESL teacher. They live in West Orange, N.J. . . . Joshua Shapiro joined the business department of the law firm Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young. He also is in his first term as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 153rd Legislative District in Montgomery County.

1996
Peter Francia, an assistant professor of political science at East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C., is the author of The Future of Organized Labor in American Politics. . . . Joseph and Jill Oestreicher Gross write, “We are the proud parents of Hannah Elizabeth, born on January 18, 2005. We moved to Newburyport, Mass., last June, where Joe is an infectious diseases physician with Pentucket Medical Associates, and Jill is a freelance writer for the Newburyport Current, a local newspaper.” . . . Tara Schmidt and Peter Boettcher were married on May 28, 2005, in Burlington, Mass. Alumni in attendance included Steve and Amy Clement Ambrusko, David Chen ’00M (MD), Webb Brightwell, Ellen Steiner, Christine Blonski, Cindy Minnich, and Chris and Peggy Derivan Gold ’98W (MS). Tara and Peter both work at MIT: Tara as a biologist and Peter as an engineer. They live in Chelmsford, Mass.

Molly Black and Michael Wainio were married on August 14, 2005, in Newport, R.I. Molly is a certified nurse midwife, and Michael is a physician’s assistant. They live in Rochester. . . . Michael Goldberg (see ’98). . . . Carrie Rosen was named one of 2005’s Pennsylvania Super Lawyers–Rising Stars. The list was published in the December 2005 issue of Philadelphia magazine. Carrie is a labor and employment attorney with Cozen O’Connor.

1998
Rosemarie Rutigliano Buckley writes, “My husband, Dennis, and I welcomed our first child, Anna Eileen, on November 22, 2005.” . . . Michael Crespin writes, “I finished my Ph.D. in political science at Michigan State University, where my advisor was David Rohde ’71 (PhD). I have accepted a position at the University of Georgia, but first I’ll be working in Washington, D.C., as an American Political Science Association Congressional Fellow until fall of this year.” . . . Rebecca Hart and Michael Goldberg ’97 were married on September 4, 2005, in Boston, Mass. Amy Lisandrelli and Christopher Noye were married on July 10, 2005, in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Amy is a guidance counselor at Seven Bridges Middle School in Chappaqua, N.Y., and Christopher is a senior vice president at Acumen Solutions in New York City. . . . Jessica Turner Wernes and her husband, Randy, announce the birth of their twins, Kendall Marie and Mason Alden, on March 2, 2005. They write, “As you can imagine, they’re keeping us very busy. We’re enjoying family life in Hoboken, N.J.”

Tyler and Mary Cummings Brown write, “We proudly announce the birth of our first child, Christian Tyler, on June 10, 2005. We also celebrated our five-year anniversary on December 30.” . . . Jim Capellupo and his wife, Michele, announce the birth of their second child, Isabella Michele, born on December 21, 2005. She joins her big brother, James III, who was 16 months old when Isabella was born. . . . Rebecca Etlinger is the author of the children’s book To Be Me: Understanding What It’s Like to Have Asperger’s Syndrome. . . . John Kingston writes, “I completed a master’s degree in special education at San Francisco State University. I also received certification to teach orientation and mobility to children and adults with visual impairments. I live in the Bay Area, where I’m also a set designer for Fusion City, a conceptual literary talk show hosted by former Rochester visiting professor Kate Braverman. Nancy D’Angelo Kusmaul writes, “My husband, Eric, and I are the proud parents of a baby girl, Keira Rose, born on December 20, 2005.” . . . They write, “We are both graduate students at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where Jake is working on his Ph.D. in political science and Sarah is working on her Ph.D. in public health. We live in Durham, N.C., and are hoping to move a bit closer to western New York once we’ve gotten our degrees. Is the University hiring anytime soon?”
