Tiny Bubbles: Vasilii Petrenko holds a 50,000-year-old sample of ice from Taylor glacier in Antarctica as he gets ready to analyze it in his lab in Hutchison Hall. As he melts the ice in a special device, the assistant professor of earth and environmental sciences captures the air escaping from the ice’s bubbles.
