Documentation about the existence and nature of a student’s disability is private. Because such information is often sensitive, the University is committed to the principle that information about a student’s disability be maintained confidentially.

It is important to note that disclosure of such information to faculty members may be necessary to establish a student’s eligibility for reasonable accommodations and to identify those accommodations.
