Aiden Ward

Hey! I'm Aiden (they/them). I'm a first-year chemistry PhD student who works in supramolecular, biology mimicking chemistry. I also got my bachelor's in biochemistry here! So, if I'm not in class, TAing, or tutoring, I'm making some molecules in the lab! I tutor organic chemistry although I am knowledgeable in biochemistry track courses. Kayla Duffy

Hi! My name is Kayla, and I am in the class of 2027, majoring in biology with a minor in psychology on the pre-med track. I have previously served as a TA for BIOL 111 lab and PSYC 161. Outside of academics, I'm involved in several clubs and I work as a research assistant at the Social Stress Lab and the Noll Lab. Serena Khalifeh

Hello! My name is Serena Khalifeh, I am a senior majoring in Cell and Developmental Biology on the pre-med track! I mostly tutor in intro biology and chemistry courses. I am also working as a TA for BIOL 198P (Genetics Lab) and as a First-Year Fellow. Outside of class, I really like reading and singing. I also started a Baking Club on campus! Aishi Roychoudhury

Hi! My name is Aishi (she/her), and I am a senior studying Computational Biology at U of R. Prior to becoming a Mentor, I have been a Tutor at The Learning Center for nearly 2 years and have supported students in Genetics, First-Year Chemistry, Calculus I, and Physics I.

Outside of TLC, I lead Rochester Rangoli as President and engage in research at the Medical Center. Around campus, you’ll usually spot me studying at PRR, working out at the GAC, or catching up with friends over coffee at Starbucks. Senthil Sivakumar

Hello! I'm Senthil, a senior majoring in Cell & Developmental Biology on the pre-med track. I have been a workshop leader for Calculus, Organic Chemistry, and am currently a TA for Developmental Biology. I've been tutoring in a variety of subjects, but this year I plan on sticking with Orgo, Physics, Biochemistry. Hi everyone! I am Jingyao (she/her). I am a junior majoring in Data Science and Economics and minoring in Mathematics. I have been a Math142 recitation leader for 2 semesters and CSC171 Lab TA. Alicia Markovich

Hello! My name is Alicia Markovich (she/her), and I'm in the class of 2027 studying Computational Linguistics and American Sign Language. I mainly tutor for linguistics courses, with a couple CSC and BCSC as well. Outside of school, I love most fiber arts, specifically crocheting and sewing, but I also just started cross stitch and really love it! Reading and cooking are also massive hobbies of mine. Hi! I’m Christin (she/her), and I am a graduate student at the Warner School getting my MS in secondary math education. I graduated from the U of R in December 2024 with my BS in Mathematics and my BA in English Literature. Here at UR, I am in the Wind Symphony and Jazz Band, and in my free time, I love to read, draw, hike, and play the piano. Kelvin Nguyen

Hi, I'm Kelvin Nguyen (he/him), a senior majoring in Honors Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science. I tutor most undergraduate math courses, from Calculus to Real/Complex Analysis. Currently, I’m in my fourth semester as a Math TA and Study Group Leader, having led recitations for Math 141–165, often multiple times. I also work as a Lab TA in the Computer Science Department, teaching labs for CSC 171 and 172. When I’m not in Carlson or the Math Lounge studying for the subject GRE, I enjoy building Legos and spending time with my girlfriend. Feel free to reach out with any questions about tutoring or math. Hi everyone! My name is Gabe (he/him). I'm a senior with a major in Honors Mathematics and minors in Economics and Music. I'm also pursuing an Operations Research Certificate. Derek Ju

Hello! My name is Derek Ju and I am a senior majoring in Psychology and Cell and Developmental Biology on the pre-dental track. I mainly tutor biology and chemistry courses required for most biology majors. Outside of class, I volunteer at the Strong Memorial Hospital and work as a research assistant at the Wynne Center for Family Research and at Dr. Jamieson’s Social Stress Lab.
