Summer Research/Internship Opportunities

Formal research programs for undergraduates generally run 10 weeks, provide a stipend, and offer social activities as well as exposure to another campus. They can take place within the University of Rochester or off-campus at a different institution, domestically or internationally.

Although the majority of programs highlighted on our internal and external listings focus on the natural sciences, there are opportunities in the social and behavioral sciences, ethics and values, education and human resources, political science, economics, and a number of interdisciplinary areas. Many students continue research they started during the academic year over the summer; others independently initiate contact with a professor and begin their first research experience during the summer months.

If you have found a research opportunity and are looking for summer research funding, see the funding page for more information.
