Margaret Burkhardt (MS) has published her new book, Ethics and Issues in Contemporary Nursing, co-authored by Alvita K. Nathaniel. It examines ethics and issues basic to principled nursing practice and health care delivery.
Sandra Lee Blaney Good (Mas) was named a Daily Point of Light, a national volunteer recognition award endorsed by Presidents Clinton and Bush, for her dedication and commitment to health care and service to low-income families. Since 1995, Good has directed the Hazard, Ky., Maternal Infant Outreach Worker Program (MIHOW) home visiting program. Good has also opened a Baby Pantry that provides more than 275 low-income families with clothes, diapers, baby food, cribs, and other items for child development.
Ann Myers Soutter writes: "My husband, Douglas Soutter, and I had a baby boy, George Bazil, born on February 13, 1998. He was 6 lbs., 21 inches. Good luck to Rob Hull '85RC and his wife, Donna Meyerhoff Hull, on their move to Jakarta."
