for six spots in Allegheny County Common Pleas Court in Pennsylvania. . . .
Preston Walter Davis writes that he created and is the director of the
clinical psychology predoctoral internship, coordinator of the Developmental
Disabilities Program, and coordinator of the psychology department staff orientation
and training for the state of California. . . . Patricia Gordon writes
that she was to receive her M.B.A. from the University of Michigan business
school in April 2001. She was one of three students who received an award for
significant contributions to the school's community. She also played forward
for the women's ice hockey team at the school. Before going to Michigan, she
was a founding team member of Steamline.com, an online grocery retailer, and
she will be working for Citibank as vice president of eStrategy. . . . John
Noble married Victoria Wan in 1994. They are currently living in
Mahwah, N.J., where Victoria is brand manager of Aqua Velva. John met with members

Benjamin Anastas published his second novel, The Faithful Narrative
of a Pastor's Disappearance, about a small New England town struggling with
maintaining a Puritan legacy. . . . Osie Barden writes that he passed
the third level of the chartered financial analysts exam, a program consisting
of three annual exams that build on each other and are required to receive a
charter. "Next time you will address me as Osie Barden, CFA," he writes.
. . . Nathaniel Beers married Lee Ann Savio on June 9, 2001. Nathaniel
planned to become an associate professor of pediatrics at George Washington
University, and Lee Ann is a Navy lieutenant and pediatrician. . . . Lauren
Diamond married Aron Barkan on June 30, 2001. Lauren oversees the formation
of Internet partnerships at Advanstar Communications, and Aron works for the
World Research Group. . . . Janelle Krasucki '92 (MS) married Todd Cooper
on October 7, 2000. Janelle is chief executive officer of Wayne County Action
Program, Inc., and Todd is a lineman for Verizon in Newark, N.J. . . . Elise
Song Kurlander writes to announce the birth of her second daughter, Sara
Seunghye-Song, who joins her older sister, Kendall. . . . Barry Lederman
'95S (MBA) writes that his wife, Dawn, gave birth to their son, Hunter Robert,
on June 30, 2001. Barry is on an international assignment with Roche Diagnostics
as senior vice president of finance. . . . Alison Lee Sandman writes
that she and her husband, Rob, had their first child, Jacob (Jake) Otto, on

married Devin Beauregard on July 20, 2001, and they will be living in Bangkok,
Thailand, for the next two years. . . . Mark and Melissa Deutsch Bonefacio
spent a weekend last August in Duxbury, Mass., at the home of Nick Leitzes

Their daughter, Saige Ellen, was born on July 25, 2001, weighing 9 lbs., 3 oz.
and measuring 21 inches. "Both mother and daughter are doing well,"
they write. In August, Tara was scheduled to receive her Ph.D. in clinical psychology
from the University of Albany. . . . Gian Di Loreto writes that his daughter,
Sofia Leticia Di Loreto, was born on August 8, 2000, and has taken her first
steps. Gian works for a small Chicago-based company doing data-quality and cleaning.
. . . William Huntzinger was scheduled to marry Helen Brookes on June
23, 2001, in Krakow, Poland. He is head of the English department at the International
School of Cracow in Poland. . . . Michael Marion writes that after six
years of working as a park ranger and naturalist with the National Park Service
at Grand Teton, Death Valley, and other national parks, he is now the training
instructor at Arcadia National Park in Maine. He works in the winter as a research
assistant studying heart disease at the Jackson Laboratory in Bar Harbor. He
also sings with several a cappella ensembles and community choruses. He writes,
"In my free time, I enjoy rock climbing, cycling, hiking, or exploring
the coast by sea kayak. If you're visiting Maine on vacation, be sure to look
me up!" . . . Philip Nel, an assistant professor of English at Kansas
State University, wrote J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter Novels: A Reader's
Guide, which attempts to simplify the reading of the bestselling novels.

was awarded a Charlotte W. Newcombe Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship from the
Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation. She will receive a stipend of
$16,000 to support a final year of research and writing of her proposed Ph.D.
dissertation, titled Neither Rock nor Refuge: American Encounters with Nietzsche
and the Search for Foundations. . . . Krista Schlueter married Michael
Cimilluca on October 28, 2000. She works as a corporate trainer in Chicago,
and Michael is a software engineer. . . . Laura Tobin married Dan Robinson,
Jr. on June 23, 2001. She is pursuing her master's degree in public health at
Rochester.

moved to international operations, where I will work as a geologist on oil and

president at Hometown Bank in Oxford, Mass., and Sarah is a manager of contracting
at Cigna Healthcare of Connecticut. . . . David Geho '92E earned a medical
degree at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland
on May 20, 2001. He plans to complete a residency in pathology at the National
Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Md.. . . Eric Hadsell joined the law firm
of Perkins, Smith & Cohen, L.L.P. as an associate in the tax and trusts
and estates group. . . . Jessica Leonard married Neil Birk on April 28,

beer in college and became head brewer for the establishment that had its grand

She completed her master's degree in healthcare administration from St. Joseph's
University in Philadelphia and accepted a position at Independence Blue Cross
as director of government programs and compliance. . . . Orli Almog married

Kari will be attending Columbia University Teachers College and plans to earn
her master's degree in education with an administrative certificate. John is
attending Juilliard as a C. V. Starr Doctoral Fellow in Music Composition. He
plans to make his Carnegie Hall premiere on April 28, 2002, when the New York
Youth Symphony performs Mosaic for orchestra. Kari and John are moving
to New York City from New Haven, Conn. . . . Christopher Ryan married
