1980

John Fanta sends an update. He works as assistant general counsel for the Auto Club Group of Dearborn, Mich. He previously was senior attorney for AAA.

1981

Mary-Ellen Breen Freeman and her husband, Pete, write to note the birth of their son, Tucker Granville, on May 25, 2002. "He is our first child, and we are all enjoying the changes he has brought to our lives," she writes. Mary-Ellen has been working at Electric Boat in Groton, Conn., since 1981 as a component engineering specialist and is taking a year’s leave of absence to be home with her son.

20TH REUNION
OCTOBER 10-12, 2003

Walter Aikman, owner of the environmental consulting firm People’s Forest Places as well as a small woodworking company, is the chairman of the Cayuga (N.Y.) County Environmental Management Council. A former Peace Corps member, he met his wife, Cindy, while performing community forestry work in Africa. They live in Auburn, N.Y., with their daughter, Susan, 8, and son, Daniel, 4.

1984

Randy Allgaier sends a photo from a party with former classmates Brookellen Bruley Rider, Darlene Jameson Wheaton, Kathy Zuniga Miller N, and Wendy Dolan Cuda N in Maryland. "We had a very nice weekend relaxing and recalling our days (and nights) in Rochester," he writes. . . . Bruce Schneier, cofounder and chief technical officer of Counterpane Internet Security Inc., was selected to the Technical Advisory Board of PGP Corp. of Palo Alto, Calif.

1985

Jill Canin Endres writes that she graduated from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in 1991, completed her general surgery residency at Mount Sinai Hospital, and had a fellowship in laparoscopic surgery there as well. "After several years in practice, I moved to San Diego to join a laparoscopic bariatric surgery group," she writes. "We love it here. I have two boys, Zachary and Matthew, and my husband, Rick, is an attorney specializing in defense litigation." . . . Gerard Michel ’88S (MBA), ’88M (MS) was appointed vice president of corporate development of NPS Pharmaceuticals. He previously spent six years at Booz-Allen & Hamilton. . . . Mark Vossler ’89M (MD) writes, "I recently moved from Portland, Ore., to the Seattle area with my wife, Susan, and my daughters, Lydia and Ellen. I left my faculty position at Oregon Health Sciences University to join Eastside Cardiology Associates in Kirkland, Wash. I’m working to set up a community-based heart failure treatment program at Evergreen Community Hospital." . . . Linda Weber ’87 (MS) was named senior vice president of products and technology of ImageSoft Technologies, a unit of Fiserv Inc. of Orlando.

1987

Ann Marie De Die writes, "Hi, everyone. I am a long way from Rochester! I am married to Peter Dekker, an attorney I met in law school. We have two children, Fiona, 4, and Shane, 1. I am a partner in a mid-sized law firm in Northern California and love what I do, even though I’m way too busy. I stay in touch with several UR and KD friends and would love to hear from some of you by e-mail at amdedie@ sbllp.com.". . . Allen Fox and his wife, Carolyn, run Holographs on Main in St. Charles, Mo. One of only three of its kind in the country, the business uses lasers to create three-dimensional images of people. Allen cut back to part time at Boeing to concentrate on the business. . . . Keith Kupferschmid and his wife, Melissa, write to announce the birth of their daughter, Jenna Michelle, on May 24. "Big brother Matthew is thrilled to have a little sister," they write.

1988

15TH REUNION
OCTOBER 10-12, 2003

William Greene joined the law firm of Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin in Newton Square, Pa., in the medical malpractice group. . . . Doug McGetchin writes that he and his wife, Joy, had their first child, Anika, born September 16, 2001. Doug received his Ph.D. in history from the University of California in San Diego, completing his dissertation on the 19th-century German study of Sanskrit, Buddhism, and ancient India. Dave Chen attended the ceremony. Doug notes that he will be lecturing at UC San Diego and San Diego State University next year and hopes to secure a position as a professor of modern European history. . . . Kenneth Slater Jr. joined the Hartford, Conn., office of Halloran & Sage as counsel in the environmental and land use practice group.

1989

James Dass writes of the birth of his daughter, Grace. "My wife, Dina, and I traveled to India in February to pick her up. We live in Columbia, S.C., where I am a human resources manager for Honeywell." . . . James Malone is the head fitness and conditioning coordinator for the New York Mets baseball team.
