1991Teresa Carroll, a quadriplegic since age 19, does advocacy work for the disabled and is moderator of the computer news group Rochester Disabled. She was working with Rochester business people to develop a Web site to help the disabled find appropriate housing. . . . Meredith Robinson was promoted to lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy and serves at the Naval Legal Service Office in Washington, D.C. 1992Michael Thorn was promoted to vice president of series development and programming of the USA television network. He joined the network in 2000 and oversaw the series Cover Me: The True Life of an FBI Family and The Huntress. He was also instrumental in bringing the John Woo-produced pilot Red Skies to the network in August. . . . Doreen Gilmartin Waldbieser ’92E writes that she and her husband, Mike, had their second child, Karen Elise, on February 28. After staying home with her daughters, she notes that she planned to return to work as a school counselor part time for the 2002-03 school year. 199310TH REUNION Carl Arena Jr. became engaged in June to Lynn Flamini and planned a November wedding. He is a manager at the Burgundy Basin Inn, and she works at a doctor’s office. . . . Laureen Burke ’97M (MD) was one of several baby boomers profiled in an Associated Press article who gave up a profitable career to go back to law or medical school. She left a successful marketing career at Xerox to go to medical school and is now an obstetrician and gynecologist in Rochester. . . . Jeremy Glick, credited as one of the passengers on Flight 93 who attacked their hijackers and prevented the plane from hitting its target on September 11, was one of four honored with ESPN’s Arthur Ashe Courage Award during the network’s annual Espy Awards. Jeremy was a national collegiate judo champion. 1994Nina Goodman married Gideon Lachman on November 10, 2001, and sent a photo. Pictured are Jennifer Ehrenreich, Doris Santoro, Nina, Erica Sterling, and Colleen Chapman. Also attending were Dan Brustman, James Conlon, David Jablonowski ’92, Noah Vadnai, and Aaron Weiss. The couple lives in Washington, D.C., where they "enjoy raising turtles." . . . Stephanie Cooper Lawrence and her husband, Todd, had their first child, Jake Benjamin, on January 14. They live in Westchester County, N.Y. Stephanie writes, "Last November, we had a great time at Marla Kim Babat’s wedding to Stephen Yonaty, in which I was a bridesmaid." . . . Lisa McDermott married Sean Hudson August 9. She is a first-grade teacher in Cheektowaga, N.Y., and he is a student accounts technician at Canisius College. 1995Christopher Lamason married Lorie Danner in June. He is a mechanical engineer with Advantek of New Castle, Del., and she is a human resources representative. . . . Sonia Robertson married Matthew Garner ’96 on August 10. She is an associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell, a New York City law firm, and he is a post-production director at Miramax Films. . . . Nikhil Sivakumaran writes that his short film, Diwali, won an award at the SMPTE/RAVA film festival, which took place in Rochester in September. The film, which is semiautobiographical and based on his life at Rochester, was also screened at the Cannes Film Festival. . . . David Thiel, vice president of Auragen Communications of Rochester, was elected to the board of directors of Career Development Services. . . . Richard Wallingford III joined Mayo Regional Administrative Services Corp. of Dover, Maine, as a practicing physician. 1996Nicole Keon married Matthew Blute May 25. She attends Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and he attends the American Film Institute of Los Angeles. . . . 1997Diana Eckenrode married Matthew Caruana July 5. She is a counselor at McKinley High School in Buffalo, and he is a registered nurse in Deaconess Center. . . . 19985TH REUNION Kevin Axx sends an update. After graduating from the SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in May, he is working to complete a general practice residency at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, N.Y., in June 2003. . . .
1999Jessica Anderson and Daniel Hughes were planning an October 2002 wedding. She is pursuing a doctoral degree in modern European history at Rutgers University, and he is a sales representative for All American Poly Corp. . . . Melissa Diaz ’00W (MS), a social studies teacher in New York City, writes that she was planning to travel around the world, visiting 11 countries as a resident director for the Semester at Sea Fall 2002 voyage. . . .
