Richard O’Reilly (MD) has been appointed
to the advisory board for the Kimmel Scholar Award program of the Sidney Kimmel
Foundation for Cancer Research. Richard is chairman of the department of pediatrics
and chief of the bone marrow transplant service for Memorial Sloan-Kettering
Cancer Center in Manhattan.

Alliance for Lupus Research to test a potential treatment for the disease.

Christine Curcio (PhD) writes to say that she
was awarded the first Roger Johnson Prize in macular degeneration research.

W. Jahnigen Scholars Award from the American Geriatric Society in April. He
is a retinal specialist and assistant professor of ophthalmology at the University
