Adam Easterday writes, “I was promoted to senior vice president and chief legal officer of ValueOptions Inc., the nation’s second-largest behavioral managed care company. As a result, I have relocated to Virginia Beach to be close to the company’s national headquarters in Norfolk, Va.” . . . Lisa Gotkin writes to share a photo of herself and fellow alumna Pamela Epstein Levy and their children. Pam is on the left, with Max and Jacob; Lisa is on the right with her daughter, Eliana Stern. Lisa says, “We were college roommates, and now we live less than nine miles away from each other in Illinois. Pam’s second child, Max, was born exactly one week after my daughter, Eliana, in April 2002 (and born in the same hospital).” . . . F. Matthew Jackson reports that he has been named a partner at the law firm of Deily, Mooney & Glastetter in Albany, N.Y. He and his wife, Molly, have two children, Hannah, 4, and Devin, 1. . . . Tamara Vendig and Edwin Witham were married March 22 at the Ritz-Carlton Palm Beach Hotel in Manalapan, Fla.

Simone Bergstein Wiener writes to say that she and her husband, Craig, had their first baby, Jordana Ariel, on February 21. . . . Marcie Etscovitz and Franklin Levin were married on October 12, 2002. They live just outside of Philadelphia, where Marcie is a social worker for a Head Start preschool. Elana Blumenthal was maid of honor. . . . Sara Horwitz and Adam Meier were married on January 18. Sara is a program manager in Washington, D.C., for Reading is Fundamental. Adam is a public affairs specialist at the State Department in Washington, D.C.

A charitable foundation, Jeremy’s Heroes, has been founded by the sister of Jeremy Glick, a passenger credited with resisting the terrorists aboard Flight 93, which crashed in a field on September 11, 2001. Jeremy’s Heroes funds athletic programs and assists young athletes. . . . Thomas Kenjarski ’98M (MD) completed his residency at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas in 2002 and joined a private practice group at Baylor University Medical Center, also in Dallas, where he lives with his wife, Theresa. They were married in July 2001. Brian Kenjarski ’97, Paul Kenjarski ’00, Mark Vincent ’91, Chris Englert ’94, and Deborah Mlodynia Englert ’97M (MD) ’00M (Res) attended. . . . Chris O’Brien, Rochester men’s tennis and squash coach, writes, “Our men’s tennis team traveled to St. Croix for spring break March 7–14. This is a training trip that we take in different locations every year. On our day off from tennis, the team signed up for a sailing and snorkeling trip to Buck Island, an underwater national park. Ten of us arrived in the morning for our trip, and we met up with two other groups of alumni on the boat—a total of 20 people, and 13 were from Rochester. So we talked about the many experiences from Rochester and had a great day.” Chris also sent a photo. Jennifer Cohen Hilton ’95 (Take Five) writes, “My husband, Jason (son of Elaine Emerson Hilton ’67), and I had a baby boy, Christian James, on October 20, 2002. He is our first child.” . . . Jonathan Hurwitz (see ’96). . . . James Prodafikas writes, “After Rochester, I received my Ph.D. in pharmacology from SUNY Buffalo. From there I was an associate medical director at the pharmaceutical advertising agencies Robert A. Becker and Integrated Communications. Currently I am working for Roche Pharmaceuticals as a primary care medical liaison. I live in New Jersey with my wife, Gilda, whom I married in September of 1998, and our beautiful daughter, Olympia Harmony, who turned 2 on March 21. William Houghton ’97S (MBA) (see ’98). . . . Christy Van Dusen is engaged to Steve Fennessy. Both journalists in Atlanta, they are planning an October wedding. . . . Justin Vianese ’99 (MS) and Katherine Seymour were married by the bride’s uncle last September 7 in Greenwich, N.Y. Justin is employed by Engineous Software and Katherine works at a law firm in Boston. The couple lives in Millis, Mass.

Nathalie Eluard Hurwitz and Jonathan Hurwitz ’94 announce the birth of their son, Ethan Jeffrey, on November 24. . . . Nicole Keon received her doctorate in environmental science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. . . . Ralph Marcello ’99 (MS) and Lisa Galli were married July 27, 2002, in Gates, N.Y. Ralph is currently pursuing a master’s degree in business administration from Cornell University, with the goal of joining Lehman Brothers in New York as an equity associate in August. Lisa is a teacher’s assistant for The Drop In Center in Ithaca. . . . Lynda Solheim and Nathan Balint are engaged to be married. They are planning a summer 2004 wedding. Lynda is employed by Albert Einstein Hospital in the Bronx as an obstetrician and gynecologist; Nathan, a corporate attorney, is employed by Kirkland & Ellis in Manhattan. . . . Ann Marie Zatezalo and Benjamin Winter ’97 planned to be married June 21. Ann Marie is an environmental, health, and safety manager for Mott’s in Williamson, N.Y., and Benjamin is employed by the psychiatry department at Strong Memorial Hospital while he pursues a master’s degree in school counseling at the University. . . . Our apologies to Stephanie Ziegler ’99N (MS) and Michael Chiumento ’98; news of their wedding was reported incorrectly in the last issue. They were married on June 15, 2002, in Rochester. Navy Lieutenant Tom Donohue writes to say he and Army Captain Kristen Cunningham were married on January 11, and are living in Hawaii. David Barzilai has founded ebderm.org, a dermatology Web site to help medical residents, attending physicians, and other health professionals locate and evaluate the best and most current research. . . . Brent Bernard ’02W (MS) writes, “My wife, Jane, and I welcomed our first child, Hannah Marlene, on November 21, 2002. Hannah joins her ‘big brother’ dog, Jack. All are well.” Brent is a senior financial aid counselor at Rochester. Jane is an accountant for Xerox Corp. . . . Michael Chiumento (see ’96) . . . . Wendy Doyle and Patrick Quinn were married on June 29, 2002. In attendance were Matt Kilmer, Rabih Allaf, Matt Finniss, Chris Noye, Mike Cole, Genelle Sawyer ’99, Andy Hyatt ’00, and Pete Hillsley ’00. . . . Joshua Boxer obtained his law degree from the University of Miami Law School in May. He has been offered a job with a plaintiffs’ disability firm in Coconut Grove, Fla. Justin White ’00 attended the ceremony. . . . James Capellupo Jr. and Michele Bissonette are engaged to be married in August. James works for the Pittsford (N.Y.) Central School District. . . . Paul Hencoski is engaged to Juli Troller. They are planning a November wedding. Paul is a principal with the public sector group of American Management Systems. Juli is a graduate of the University of Alabama and a high school English teacher in New Jersey. . . . Lauren Mangiola writes to announce her engagement to Christopher Rush. Lauren is a graduate student at Cornell University; Christopher works for Corning Inc. . . . Jeremy Speich was admitted to the New York State Bar in January. He is an associate with the law firm of McNamee, Lochner, Titus & Williams in Albany, N.Y.
