Relations
1967
Jerry Gans (MD) writes that he was named teacher
of the year by the Massachusetts General Hospital/McLean Hospital third-year
psychiatry residents, Class of 2003. He also notes that he and his wife, Nancy,
are expecting their first grandchild.
1975
Warren Johnston (MD) is serving as vice chairman
of St. Joseph Hospital’s board of directors in Orange, Calif. His appointment
lasts two years.
1976
Orthopedic surgeon Gary Woods (Res), was elected
president of the New Hampshire Medical Society in February.
1980
Polly Thomas (Res), assistant commissioner for
the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, has helped establish
the World Trade Center Health Registry, to track the health of people who were
in lower Manhattan on September 11, 2001.
1982
Roseanne Leipzig (Res) (see ’72RC undergraduate).
1988
Steven Duff (Res) was the top cardiovascular surgeon
recommended by his fellow doctors in the Columbus, Ohio, area. The survey, conducted
by the Columbus Dispatch and WBNS-TV, asked more than 4,500 doctors
where they would turn if they or a family member needed medical treatment. .
. . Robert Poole (Res) is chief medical officer
of Hypnion, a neuroscience drug company.
1990
Alex Macario (MD) (see ’86RC undergraduate).
. . . Jeanne Putinas Spencer (MD) (see ’86RC
undergraduate).
1992
Rachel Roper (PhD) is an assistant professor
at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, in the microbiology
and immunology department. Her areas of expertise are virology, immunology,
and bioinformatics.
1995
Lisa Feulner (PhD) (MD) has joined the surgery
department of the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center’s ophthalmology division
in Baltimore.
2003
Cara Kaupp (Res) has joined Private Healthcare
Systems. She is the company’s 400,000th provider.
