Fareed Ahmed and his wife, Alia, announce the birth of their son, Amaan, on March 24. . . . Jodi Rubtchinsky Smith is the owner of Mannersmith, an etiquette consulting firm in Marblehead, Mass., and is the author of two books on etiquette: The Guy’s Guide to Social Savvy and The Girl’s Guide to Social Savvy.

1991
Maj. Fritz Pfeiffer was named the top ROTC instructor in the country. Fritz, a Marine, was a lecturer with the University of Virginia’s NROTC. He is planning to continue his education at the Marine Corps’ Command and Staff College at Quantico, studying military planning and theories of war. . . . Urologist John Trabulsi has joined the Department of Urology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.

1992
Rick and Alexa Kule Gashler announce the birth of their daughter, Katherine Charlotte, on September 10, 2003. They live in Westwood, N.J. . . . Dennis Lockshine and Karyn Krein were married on April 17 in Philadelphia. Dennis is a computer systems engineer and database programmer for Lockheed Martin, and Karyn is an associate director and producer for NJN Public Television and Radio in Trenton, N.J. . . . Anne Laughlin Martin and her husband, Gary, announce the birth of their son, Jackson Sprague, on October 25, 2003, in New York City. Anne and Gary met while they were both performing in the national touring company of Grease! Gary continues to perform in theater, film, and television, while Anne works at Oxygen Media Television Network. . . . Philip Nel has been interviewed on a variety of television and radio programs, including CBS Sunday Morning and NPR’s Talk of the Nation, as well as in several newspapers, including USA Today and the San Francisco Chronicle, about his book, Dr. Seuss: An American Icon. Philip is working on several projects, including a biography of the children’s authors Crockett Johnson and Ruth Krauss. . . . Jeffrey Reznick and Allison Kletter announce their engagement. A September wedding is planned.

1993
Livia Quan Aber and her husband, Alexander, announce the birth of their son, Jude Alexander, on March 2. . . . Scott Petoff writes, “I founded my own software company, Meliovation. The name was inspired by the University motto. We develop and publish travel planning software and hope it will provide me and my wife, Jennifer Maciejewski Petoff ’95, with the opportunity to pursue our love of travel.” . . . John Todd, chief technology officer of VoIP Phone Systems, addressed the ISPCON spring conference for wired and wireless ISPs in Washington, D.C., last April.

1994
Jeffrey and Emily Clarey Baumgartner ’97 announce the birth of their son, Maxwell Jeffrey, on December 21, 2003. . . . Renee Radbill Keats (see ’95). . . . Karen McCann and Ian Fitzpatrick were married on May 29 in Boston. Karen is a business manager for BostonWorks. Ian is a multimedia director at EuroRSCG 4D. They live in Boston.

1995
Adam and Renee Radbill Keats ’94 announce the birth of their daughter, Kayla Louise, on August 25, 2003. “We’ll be lobbying for a spot for her in the Class of 2025,” they write. . . . Kristine Kelliher writes, “I received my M.D. from Albany Medical College in May and started a residency in general surgery at the University of Connecticut in July. E-mail and say hello: kkelliher (at) hotmail (dot) com.” . . . Jennifer Maciejewski Petoff (see ’93).

1996
Brian Grimberg received his Ph.D. in cell and molecular biology from Wake Forest University, where he was chairman of the Graduate Student Association and member of the Board of Visitors. . . . Shannon Joseph-Lopoukhine writes, “My husband, Dmitri, and I are proud to announce the birth of our adorable twin sons, Max and Michael, on August 25, 2003.” . . . Anne Rex and Thomas Torzok were married on August 16, 2003, in Willoughby Hills, Ohio. Alumni who attended the wedding included Jessica Hudon ’94, Jodi Fontes Grundig, Michelle Marcoe Storie ’95, Kristin Mitchell Robinson, Heather Lee Bowles, Nicole (Alex) Sutliffe ’97, Kate Bayard ’94, Richard Scheffler ’64, Cathy Lawson ’82, and her husband, Ed Castner ’82. . . . Neeraj Shah writes, “I received my M.B.A. from Cornell University in May. I have accepted a position with Citigroup in Hong Kong as vice president of financial control and planning.”

1997
Emily Clarey Baumgartner (see ’94). . . . Christopher Burns ’99S (MBA), a venture consultant with High Technology Rochester, is president and CEO of the Rochester Trolley and Rail Corp., which is working to establish a public trolley and streetcar system in the city. . . . Marie Castro writes, “I relocated to the Outer Banks of North Carolina from New York about a year ago and started my own company, Bordeaux Events. I am also the director of marketing for Kilmarlic Golf Club. I accepted a Valentine’s Day proposal from Mark Russell, who is a partner and art director of Island Xpertees, a screenprinting and graphics company. Laurie Fischer ’98 will be a bridesmaid at our wedding.” . . . Shannon Dionne won a Knauss fellowship in marine policy and now is spending a year at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in Washington, D.C. . . . Andrea Leyland-Logue and her husband, Chris, announce the birth of their daughter, Grace Elizabeth, on August 19, 2003. Andrea is a dentist for the Marine Corps, and Chris is finishing his residency in emergency medicine at Pitt County Memorial Hospital. They live in North Carolina. . . . Diana Past Napolitano writes, “I have joined the Syracuse Convention and Visitors Bureau, a division of the Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce, as communications and research manager. I am responsible for community and media relations, managing the Web site redesign/redevelopment, and collateral marketing pieces.” . . . Samuel Sadoulet (see ’99).

Laurie Fischer (see ’97). . . . Nathan Foster and Leeanne Forbes were married on September 14, 2003, in Hammond, Ind. Nathan is an attorney with David W. Weigle & Associates. Leeanne is an attorney with Beckman, Kelly & Smith. They live in Hammond. . . . Aaron Muderick writes, “My wife, Elizabeth, and I welcomed our daughter, Sara Emanuelle, on December 6, 2003. She is our first child.”

1999
Kathleen Carroll and Alexander Castrodale were married on September 27, 2003, in Chittenango, N.Y. Kathleen graduated from the University of Pittsburgh Medical School in May. Alexander is an attorney with Cohen & Grigsby in Pittsburgh, where they live. . . . Debbie Freidman ’00W (MS) and Eric Sasson were married on May 31, 2003, in the Berkshires. Alumnae in attendance included Molly Tifft, Melissa Molta Kappler, Leah Eisenberg ’98, and Eric’s sister, Nicole Sasson Crossman ’93. Debbie is enrolled in a doctoral program for clinical psychology at Yeshiva University. She and Eric live in Tarrytown, N.Y. . . . Jennifer Guido writes to say that she completed her master’s degree in chemical engineering at Manhattan College last December. . . . Christopher Miles and Melissa Maloney were married on July 26, 2003, in Penfield, N.Y. Christopher is a psychiatric technician at Strong Memorial Hospital, and Melissa is a pharmacy technician at Unity Health System. . . . Sam ’97 and Lindsey Poeth Sadoulet announce the birth of their son, Lucas Loïc, on February 17. They write, “He is growing quickly and keeping his parents busy!” . . . Nate Slavik (see ’01). . . . Holly Vahue and Ethan Coe were married on June 5 in Buffalo. Holly attends the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Ethan is working on a master’s degree at Buffalo State College and is a residential supervisor with DePaul Community Services. . . . Kate Wharton and Peter Cury were married on April 24 at the Four Seasons restaurant in New York City. Kate is a coordinator of artifacts, documents, and other materials at exhibition designer Ralph Appelbaum Associates. Peter is an associate art director at People magazine and a freelance illustrator.
