(PhD) has been named head of the Financial Supervisory Commission in Taiwan. He has been the government’s top economic planner since 2004. . . .
Ari Requicha
(PhD) writes that he received the Senior Research Award from the Viterbi School of Engineering at the University of Southern California during the school’s 100th anniversary. The award recognizes his work in nanorobotics over the last decade. Ari holds the Gordon Marshall Chair in engineering and is a professor in the departments of computer science and electrical engineering at USC. He also was recently appointed editor-in-chief of
IEEE Transactions on Nanotechnology,
the premier engineering journal on nanotechnology.

Dave Souerwine
S (MBA) is president of McKesson Automation, a division of Fortune 16 McKesson Corp. Dave writes that McKesson Automation, which has grown to 1,100 employees, won a 2006 Manufacturer of the Year after doubling its top-line revenues and gaining a significant share in the market.
