2001

Michael and Lorrie Paston Jacobson announce the birth of their first daughter, Madeline Sydney, in February, 2009. Madeline weighed in at 6 lbs., 15 oz., and was 20 inches long. All are doing well and reside in the Washington, D.C., area. Michael is a physician assistant in a pulmonary and internal medicine practice and Lorrie is going back to school in the fall for her nursing degree.

2002

Rachel Heafitz King won the 2008 national Dissertation of the Year award from the Association of Student Judicial Affairs for her doctoral thesis, “Students’ Perceptions of the Educational Value and Fairness of their Experiences in the College Student Discipline Process.” Rachel earned her PhD in the Higher Education & Student Affairs Leadership program at the University of Northern Colorado and is now the school’s assistant dean of students.

2003

Aria Garsys Goodberlet and Eric Goodberlet welcomed a new addition to their family, Grady Carl Goodberlet, in February 2009. . . . Tim Green has published his first volume of poetry, American Fractal (Red Hen Press, 2009). He lives in Los Angeles and is editor of the poetry journal Rattle.
