CAMPUS LIFE Tracking the Transit

VIEW FINDERS: James Zavislan, associate professor of optics, adjusts a view finder as students gather outside Goergen Hall for Biomedical Engineering and Optics to view the transit of Venus. The rare celestial event, in which the orbit of Venus takes the planet on a path between the sun and Earth, was visible from Rochester in the early evening of June 5 as the sun began to set over campus.
