The Department of Public Safety (DPS) is committed to providing high-quality campus law enforcement services to the University of Rochester community. On this page, you’ll find a form for sharing feedback with our Public Safety team, as well as links to related University-wide resources. If this is an emergency, please report a crime for immediate support.
There are many University-wide resources available if your feedback isn’t related to a Public Safety officer encounter, or if you aren’t comfortable reporting to our team.
Feedback, complaints, and questions
Your feedback helps us recognize our Public Safety team members for their performance, and assists us in improving delivery of service and achievement of goals.
A complaint, compliment, or suggestion can be made at any time by letter, telephone, this online feedback form, or in person at 612 Wilson Blvd (DPS Headquarters). Any on-duty Public Safety supervisor can accept your comments. All comments are forwarded to the Chief of Public Safety for review, and in the case of formal complaints, assignment for investigation. With regards to complaints, the complainant will be contacted as soon as possible to discuss the complaint and receive additional information on the investigative process.
