At Rochester:
- Four year letter winner at cross country and indoor and outdoor track
- Senior year, placed 10th in 10,000 meter at NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships
- Took 2nd place in the 10k at the NYSCTC Outdoor Track and Field Championships
- Placed 1st in the 3,000 meter run at RPI Indoor Track Invitational
- Captain of the cross country team as a senior
- Placed 5th overall in 1980 NYSCTC Championships
- Took 3rd overall in 1980 NCAA Division III Regional Qualifier
- Earned 32nd overall in 1980 NCAA Division III National Championships
Post-Graduate:
- Hired by Saturday Night Live in 2001 as a television comedy writer
- Head writer for “Weekend Update”
- Won an Emmy Award in 2002
- Received a Peabody Award in 2009, and also three Writer’s Guild Awards
