At Rochester:

• Captained the basketball team in 1936-37 and also played baseball
• Member of Mendicants as a junior and Keidaeans as a senior
• Manager of the University McFarlin Toggery Shop in Todd Union Hall
• Earned an A.B. in Economics in 1937

Post-Graduate:

• Began his career with Eastman Kodak Co. in 1941 at Kodak Park
• Transferred to Kodak's statistical department that same year
• After military service as a Lt., USN, from 1942-45, he returned to the statistical department
• Was named assistant head of market research in 1954 and was later elevated to assistant director, and finally director of marketing research in 1976
