At Rochester:
- Varsity basketball for three seasons
- Played for the 1941-42 16-0 quintet-first-ever undefeated team at Rochester
- One of "The Four Bs" (Baldwin, Baroody, Baynes, Beall)
- Leading scorer as a junior in 1942-43
- Recipient of Alcott Neary Memorial Trophy as Most Improved Player
- Co-captain of the 1946-47 team (following military service) with Dick Baroody
- Named Second Team All-Upstate NY as chosen by United Press International
- Recipient of Rufus Hedges Trophy as team MVP
- Leading scorer (12.5 ppg.)
- Set Palestra scoring record with 32 points vs. Clarkson
- Earned a B.A. in History in 1947
Post-Graduate:
- Earned his M.A. in Education from Rochester in 1951
- Head boys basketball coach at Clyde High School, 1947-55
- Cumulative record of 117-34 with five Wayne County titles
- Won Section V Class B title in 1951-52, Class A Championship in 1954-55
- Moved to East Rochester High School in 1955
- Coached football for three seasons
- Coached basketball from 1958-71 (eight Monroe County titles, three Section V Class AA titles)
- Also coached from 1974-77 with a cumulative record of 319-144 on scholastic level
- Retired from East Rochester in 1981
- Passed away on April 12, 1987
