- Previously was the Vice President and Secretary of H.B. Light Engraving, Inc. and Gene Eckert Bookbinding
- President of Oak Hill Country Club from 1977-80
- President during the 1980 PGA Championship, Chairman of the 1984 U.S. Senior Open, Co-Chairman of the 1989 U.S. Open (all hosted by Oak Hill), and Member of the Executive Committee for the 1995 Ryder Cup
- Chief Sachem, League of Iroquois
- Past President of New York State Club Association and New York Senior Golf Association
- Recipient of John R. Williams Order of Merit, presented by Oak Hill Country Club, as well as the Elliott Cushing Award and the Morrie Silver Award from the Rochester Press-Radio Club
- Founding member of the Hall of Fame for the Department of Sports and Recreation
- 1993 recipient of the Lysle "Spike" Garnish Memorial Citation
- Inducted into second class of University of Rochester Hall of Fame
- Past President of University of Rochester Alumni Association
