- Joined the Pfaudler Company in Rochester in 1926 and eventually ascended to the Presidency (1945) and Chairman of the Board (1959)
- Held a position on the Board of Directors of the Xerox Corporation, the Lincoln First National Bank, N.A., McCurdy and Company, and PAD Business Forms, Inc.
- Elected as a Trustee of the University in 1953
- Seven years as Chairman of the Executive Committee and three years as Chairman of the Board of Trustees
- Life Trustee
