At Rochester:

  • Played 3 sports doing freshman year—converted from quarterback to split end in football, scored a personal game high of 30 points in basketball, and batted over .500 as a catcher in baseball
  • Earned 3 letters in both varsity football and baseball
  • Two-way starter in football for 3 years including 1958 undefeated season—all starters on the 1958 team were honored with Backfield or Outstanding Linemen awards
  • Captain of baseball team senior year; while starting as catcher and pitched a six-hit shutout against Union College
  • Member of the Keidaeans senior honor society
  • Elected secretary for National Fraternity during junior year and President of campus Theta Delta Chi during senior year
  • Received the Louis Alexander Award in 1961 as the senior male athlete making most contributions to athletics and campus life
  • Graduated with a B.S. in first graduating Electrical Engineering class in 1961

Post-Graduate:

  • Earned MBA with honors in Research and Development Management in 1966 from the University of Chicago
  • Retired as Lt. Colonel in U.S. Air Force after 21 years of service in engineering and program management positions for intelligence, radar and air traffic control systems
  • Retired from Raytheon Company after 14 years as Program Manager for military and international air traffic control systems
  • Passed away in July, 2012
