  • Three-year letterwinner for football
  • Captain of both the 1948 freshman team and the 1951 varsity
  • Shared team rushing title, which included career best 140-yard individual total at Union
  • Served as placekicker in his senior year, hitting 15 of 17 PATs
  • Team's MVP that year
  • Member of sophomore and junior honor societies
  • Member, Tau Beta Pi (engineering honor society)
  • President of Senior Class

Post-Graduate:

  • Has served as both a member and as a chairman of the Alumni Athletic Recruiting committee
  • Served as Chairman of the Rochester-area Alumni Annual and Capital Fund Drive, as well as President of the Rochester-area Alumni Organization
  • Member for two terms of the Trustees' Council
  • In 1997, received the Lysle S. "Spike" Garnish Citation Award from the Department of Athletics and Recreation for longtime contributions to the Athletic program, both on and off the field
  • Has UR Athletic Department Male Scholar-Athlete award named after him.
  • Passed away in August, 2017
