At Rochester:

  • Captained the soccer team, played basketball, and ran track
  • Nominated for All-America honors in 1941
  • Played with the undefeated 1941-42 basketball team
  • Held a Prize Scholarship in all four years
  • Member of Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity
  • Graduated in 1942 with a B.A. in History

Post-Graduate:

  • Completed Naval Officer Training at Notre Dame in 1943 and attended Gunnery School in San Diego, CA
  • Assigned to destroyer USS Flusser, DD 368, Pacific Theatre
  • Attained position of Gunnery Officer and Executive Officer
  • Started his business career with R.H. Macy Company in New York City
  • Worked as a toy buyer for Davison-Paxon in Atlanta and Bullock's in Los Angeles before joining the Walt Disney Company in 1955.
  • Served as the director of merchandising for Disneyland and general manager of merchandise for Disneyland Hotel before retiring in 1985
  • Was active with Kiwanis, Chamber of Commerce, and the Boy Scouts of America
  • Passed away in July, 2011
