Heather Guyer Garrison

At Rochester:
- Co-captain of the swimming team in junior and senior years
- Helped team to perfect (10-0) season in 1975-76
- Set team and pool records in four individual events, three relays
- Top 12 finisher in seven events at the New York State Championships in 1976, 1977, 1978
- Founding member of first University sorority-Delta Zeta
- Participant of women's lacrosse club
- Became a New York State certified swimming official in 1978
- Earned a B.A. in Biology in 1978
Post-Graduate:
- M.B.A. with honors from Drexel, 1982
- Earned teaching certificate from Rochester in 1979
- Coached swimming at East High School while she was studying
- Taught on high school and collegiate levels, 1979-85
- Financial Analyst for two separate firms from 1983-95
- Currently Co-founder and Co-owner of Background Knowledge Corporation, an Internet software company
- Volunteer with the Philadelphia Center for Literacy since 1992
- Trustee of the Abington Friends School Board
