At Rochester:

  • Academic All-American and champion UR soccer player
  • Was a Fulbright Scholar from the University of Iceland as a junior transfer student
  • Led the team in goals (12), assists (5) and points (17) in 1986
  • As a senior, the team set the UR record for most wins in a season, finishing 7th in the New York State DIII Poll and 18th in the NCAA DIII poll
  • Personally scored six game-clinching goals
  • Twice-chosen All-State, All-Region and All-Rochester Area All-Star
  • 4 time Dean's List scholar
  • Graduated in with a BS in applied mathematics and computer science. 

Post-Graduate:

  • Earned his MS in 1992 and his PhD in 1995 in computer science, at the University of California at Santa Barbara
  • Worked in the Bell Labs (1995-2000)
  • Adjunct Professor at Columbia University (1999-2000)
  • Professor and Dean of Computer Science and Engineering at Reykjavíkíkík University in Iceland (2001-2007)
  • CEO and co-founder of Thule Investments in 2004
  • Married Sigrun Isabella and father of four daughters, Viktoria Ros, Idunn (Eden) Gna, Undina Osk and Seselia Huld Erin Marie. Sesalia Huld Erin Marie is playing soccer at Methacton High School.
