Post-Graduate:
- Received his M.D. degree in 1944 from Yale University School of Medicine
- Served as a captain in the U.S. Army Medical Corps from 1945-47
- Appointed Chief Radiologist at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles in 1952
- Moved to St. Louis in 1954 to teach at Washington University and work at Barnes Hospital
- Chief of Radiology for Sharp Memorial Hospital and San Diego Children's Hospital in 1960
- Planned and supervised construction of radiology department between 1963 and 1966
- Later served as San Diego's Clairemont Hospital, Centre City Hospital, and Mission Bay Hospital
- Member of the San Diego Radiological Society and Fellow of the American College of Radiology
- Dr. Humphrey passed away in 1992
