At Rochester:
- Earned two letters each for football and golf
- Captain of the highly successful 1951 golf team
- Played in the lead position for the golf team and led the club to six wins in eight matches
- Earned a baccalaureate degree in Business in 1952
Post-Graduate:
- Won the Rochester District Golf Association Championship in 1966 and reached the semifinals the following year
- He has won three senior RDGA championships
- Winner of the John R. Williams Better Ball Championship with Walter Knych
- Retired as president of Liebel and Merle Manufacturers Representatives, Inc.
- He has been an independent sales representatives for much of his professional career since graduation
