- Entered military service in 1943
- Highly successful tennis career on the local level
- Won the Rochester District Singles title twice in 1950 and 1951
- Played on the Senior level since 1965 and won the Senior Singles title 12 times (1965-77) and has won the Senior Doubles crown 22 times since 1965
- Played in the U.S. Championships at Forest Hills in 1952, the first native Rochesterian to play in this event
- Canadian National Senior Singles Champion in 1965
- Won the Canadian National Senior 55s Singles title in 1975
- National Rankings: #9 in 60 Singles (1980-84), #6 in 65 Singles (1985-89), #7 in 70 Singles (1990-94), and #5 in 80 Singles (2000-04)
