Lawrence Palvino
'59
At Rochester:
- Played football at the University and earned All-America acclaim for three consecutive seasons, 1956, 1957, and 1958
- Captain of the undefeated 1958 team
- Graduated from the University with a baccalaureate degree in History in 1959
Post-Graduate:
- Earned his J.D. from the Albany Law School/Union University in 1963
- In 1964, he was admitted to practice law in the State of New York
- In 1969, he was made a partner in the law firm of Harter, Secrest, & Emery
- He has served the University in a variety of directions including Chairman of the Garnish Scholarship Committee, Founding Chair of the Alumni Hellenic Council, member of the Trustees Council, and a participant in the Alumni Recruiting Luncheons
- Member of the Board of Governors at Oak Hill Country Club, as well as a member of the Board of Trustees for McQuaid Jesuit High School
- His son, Mark (Class of 1985), holds several football receiving records and is also a member of the University of Rochester Hall of Fame
