Julian Premus
'84
At Rochester:
- 4-year starter on the men’s soccer team
- Played mostly outside midfield during his first 3 years until settling into his natural position as offensive central midfield
- Coach George Perry stated that “he was probably the most creative player I ever coached and had the technical ability to back it up”.
- As a senior he was Co-Captain, team MVP, leading scoring in total points, and set a then record for assists in a single season
- Currently stands as #2 All-time for assists in single season
- Set UR record for wins in a season his senior year 14-5-3 (exceeded only 4 times since),
- ECAC Upstate NY title, reaching the ECAC Regional Finals in 1984
Post-Graduate:
- Upon graduation, he returned to New Jersey and began a career in IT, within the financial services industry, where he has moved up the ranks of senior management.
- He received his MBA from CW Post in 1991.
- He married Lucy Marro in '95 and they live in Freehold, NJ
- They have four children: Julian, Christian, Jacqueline, and Stefan, 15.
- He has coached all four of his children in travel soccer and continues to play in a local o-40 league.
- He stays active in the community with many hours spent with the Graeme Preston Foundation for Life & Marianist Retreat Community of Cape May among his favorite ventures.
