Edward Przybycien
'58
At Rochester:
- Powerful & versatile baseball player for the Yellowjackets at bat and in the field
- Led the team in batting average as a sophomore (.347), as a "clean up" junior (.343) & as a senior (.305)
- Was a senior captain
- Indispensable in the field at three positions, right field, left field, and catcher
- Beat rival Syracuse as a sophomore
- Was a 4-year Letterman and 3-year Starter
- Graduated with a BA in History and minor in English, 1958.
Post-Graduate:
- Earned a Master's of Education degree from the University of Rochester in 1962
- Had a career at Spencerport School District as a high school teacher, Vice Principal and middle school Principal for 37 years
- Also coached baseball for ten seasons (1959-69) and won the 1968 NYS Section V Championship
- Elected to the 1983 Spencerport Sports Hall of Fame
- Married Dianna, and is a proud father of Todd, a Professor at Carnegie Mellon University; and guardian to Stacy, a lawyer in the Addison County, VT District Attorney's Office.
