Dr. Christian Reed

'92 (BA), '94 (MA)

At Rochester:

  • 12-time varsity letter winner for cross country, indoor track and field, and outdoor track and field
  • A member of the 1991 NCAA Division III National Champion Cross Country team at Rochester
  • All-American in both cross country and track and field
  • For cross country, Reed was a UAA Individual Champion, a three-time First Team All-UAA honoree, and team captain.
  • Named to the UAA 25th Anniversary Menʼs Cross Country Team
  • In track and field, he won the 10,000 meter run at both the UAA and NYSCT&FA Championships. Reed helped lead the cross country team to four NYSCT&FA Championships, three UAA Championships, three Regional Championships, and three NCAA trophies. Off the track, he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship Recipient, and a GTE-CoSIDA First Team Academic All-American

Post-Graduate:

  • Earned a Ph.D. in Health and Exercise Sciences at the University of Missouri-Columbia
  • Became an AAASP Certified Sports Psychology Consultant for the US Olympic Team
  • Currently teaches exercise physiology and coaches cross country at David H. Hickman High School in Columbia, Missouri
  • Has continued gathering running accolades since leaving Rochester
  • Won the 1996 Drake Relays half marathon and earning USATF Masters Division All-American honors
  • Currently resides in Columbia, Missouri with his wife, Paige and their 10-year-old son, Marshall
