William Seeler
'53
At Rochester:
- Hardworking three-year letter winner for the football team
- Started every game for all three years playing both offense and defense
- Worked as a carpenter all day, came to football practice in the afternoon, and attended the University of Rochester’s extension school at night
- Player of the Game at various times throughout his years with the Yellowjacket
- During his career, the football team only lost five games
- A member of the 1952 squad that went undefeated for the first time in history
- Served as co-coach for the Rochester freshman football team prior to the start of the season in 1954
Post-Graduate:
- Went on to become one of Monroe County’s most successful land developer and branched out into commercial development
- Formed Seeler Homes, Inc. in 1959, developing farm land into subdivisions and building new homes for fifty years
- Served as the Director, Officer, and President of the Rochester Home Builders Association in 1968
- Has been the National Builders Association Director since 1970
- Recently, he owns and manages an Office Park in Rochester
