At Rochester:
- One of the top running backs for the Yellowjacket football team
- Led the club in rushing his senior year
- Earned a trophy as the Most Valuable Offensive Back, a trophy for the most Valuable Team Player, and the "Stinger Award" for the most outstanding plays in one season
- Awarded the Louis Alexander Alumni Award as the senior male athlete who contributed the most to athletics and student life
- Elected president of his dormitory
- Member of Delta Kappa Epsilon
- Earned his baccalaureate degree in 1979
Post-Graduate:
- At medical school, he ranked in the top 10% of his class and received the top award for the best community medicine presentation
- At graduate school, he received the Harwell Wilson Award for Best Research Presentation from the University of Tennessee, Department of Surgery, in May of 1988
- Has a private practice in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the Buffalo, NY area
- Currently an active staff member affiliated with Kalieda Health System and Catholic Health System of Western New York
- Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery
