'81
At Rochester:
- He played the #1 position in every match of his four years
- During his sophomore year he earned Campus Times “Winter Athlete of the Year” for his season record of 11 wins and only 3 losses
- During his senior year Steele was named team captain
- Graduated ranked #1 in the competitive Rochester City Squash League
Post-Graduate:
- Graduated with a BS in Optical Engineering which led to a position as an Electro-Optical systems engineer in Southern California
- Earned a MSIA graduate degree from Carnegie Mellon University
- Has worked launching incubation products and services for companies including DIRECTV and Microsoft Corporation
- Currently Director of Hardware Business Development at Microsoft working on the new XBOX One and Surface Tablets
- Continued to play high level amateur squash, winning several local and regional events including the Pittsburgh City Championship, Southern California Championship, California State Championship, and Pacific Coast Doubles Championship
- Lives in the San Francisco Bay suburb of Alamo with his wife Patti and children Betsy and Max
