Thomas M. Tuori
'87
At Rochester:
- Qualified for 1988 US Olympic trials in the 1500-meter run with a time of 3:41.5, equivalent to a 3:58 mile
- Won the NCAA Division III National Championship in the 1500-meter run in outdoor track and field in 1987 against two-time defending champion
- Earned All-America honors six times-four times in the 1500-meter run (three times outdoors, once indoors) and twice in cross country
- 1987 Recipient of Louis Alexander Award
- Graduated from the University in 1987 with a B.S. in Environmental Engineering
Post-Graduate:
- Member of the Nike Boston team that won the 1987 United States Open Cross Country National Championship
- Ran one of the top 10 times in the United States in the 10-kilometer road race in 1988
- Represented New York State in 1988 and 1989 "Ekiden" 5-Man Relay Races through the streets of New York City that included elite teams from all 50 states and 10 countries
- Has worked in the environmental consulting field in the Rochester area since 1988.
- Lives in Rochester and is a member of the City of Rochester Environmental Commission
