Jason Walker
'96
At Rochester:
- Four-year starter for men’s soccer earning All-UAA honors each year (First Team in 1994 and 1995)
- Named to UAA’s 25th Anniversary Men’s Soccer Team
- All-New York State honoree in 1993
- UAA Player of the Year in 1995 and named to National Soccer Coaches of America All-American team
- Helped UR win one UAA title, one ECAC title, and make two NCAA Division III playoff appearances
- Shares the school record for assists in a game and holds the record for career assists
Post Graduate:
- Awarded a degree in anthropology from UR
- Served as an assistant coach for Genesee Community College women’s team in 1996 that reached the NJCAA Championships and won Coaching Staff of the Year honors
- played professionally for two years – first with the Rochester Ragin’ Rhinos in their inaugural season, then with the Atlanta Ruckus before sustaining a career-ending injury
- Started a career in Human Resources
- For the last nine years, he has served Habitat for Humanity International as an Assistant Director of its Global Talent Acquisition Team
- He and his wife, Mikalee, are the parents of daughter Scarlett, and the owners of two dogs, Bowie and Ringo
