- Set University record in the high jump as a sophomore
- Goalkeeper for the soccer team for three seasons

- Graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1939
Post-Graduate:
- Earned his M.S. from California Institute of Technology in 1940
- Graduated from the Harvard Graduate School of Business in 1956
- Worked at Westinghouse Electric Corporation from 1940-81
- General Manager, Atomic Power Division from 1957-60; Director of Management and Professional Personnel Services, 1960-64
- Vice President of four different areas, 1964-74 before accepting a position as Vice President, European Division, 1974-80
- Vice President of the International Division from 1980-81
- Retired in 1981
- Trustee, American School of Paris, 1975-80
- Life Trustee of the University since 1980
