Resources for Support Staff

Effective Spring 2019, CETL’s room reservation policy is as follows:

  1. Assign CRNs to your workshops.
    1. It is the policy of the Registrar's office (which CETL concurs with) that all course-related sessions (e.g., Lecture, Lab, Workshops, Recitations) should have an attached CRN and be placed in rooms by the Registrar's office.
    2. It is CETL policy that only Workshops with a CRN can be scheduled in CETL room.
  2. Request non-CETL rooms through the Registrar’s Office.
  3. If the Registrar is unable to place your Workshops or if the room they gave is not suitable to your needs, you can request space through CETL through these steps:
    1. Email cetl@rochester.edu to see if any rooms are available for your day/time.
      Options are 1-160 N : capacity 8, 1-160 A : capacity 12, and 1-160 B : capacity 16
    2. If available, CETL will hold the room until a confirmation from the Registrar arrives.
    3. Call/Email the Registrar to request that your Workshop be moved to CETL. The Registrar will call us and we will then be able to confirm your hold and the room will be available for your Workshop.
  4. Reservations in CETL rooms do not roll over from one semester to the next. Reservations will need to be made for each semester even if the space was granted in previous semesters.
