Laura Ambrosio-Schulitz and Christian Schulitz ’89 announce the birth of their
son, Christian Richard, born October 8, 2002. Laura writes, “He joins
his furry sister, Shelby, our golden retriever.” . . . Pelin Aylangan
’98S (MBA) writes, “As part of my endeavor to write a book about
tea in Turkish culture, I am quoted in an article in the December 2003 issue
of National Geographic magazine. The title of the article is ‘British
Cool on Hot Tea but Turkish Steeps Climb.’ ” . . . Adam Konowe e-mails
to say that in September he joined the advertising and public relations firm
of Sullivan Higdon & Sink as an account supervisor specializing in the aviation,
aerospace, and defense industries. He also continues to serve as an adjunct
professor at American University’s School of Communication. In his spare
time he remains active in community theater as a director, lighting designer,
and recognized stage combatant. . . . Seth Maislin ’92 (MS) writes that
he and Gami Dadusc ’01 (PhD) were married on September 7, 2003. Alumni
attendees included Ron Gerber ’92 (MS), ’93 (MS), Charles Frenkel,
Jennifer Ingalls Bowie ’91, Michael Armstrong ’95 (MA), ’02
(PhD), Robert Henderson ’93 (MA), ’97 (PhD), Marc Huffstickler ’96
(MS), and Jeffrey Korn ’94 (MA). R. J. Dwayne Miller, former professor
of chemistry, and Marjorie Chapin, retired librarian at the Department of Physics
and Astronomy, also attended. . . . Douglas Smith, a chemistry teacher at South
Hadley (Mass.) High School, was one of 40 teachers selected to receive a Distinguished
Educators Award from the Massachusetts Department of Education. . . . Kevin
Tracy and his wife, Sheila, write to announce the birth of their twins, David
and Leah, born in July 2003. They join their brother, Ian, and their sister,
Theresa.
1991
Alonzo Borja ’98S (MBA) married Carmen Elisa Robles-Castro in April 2003
in El Salvador. Nancy and Lindsay Chu ’98S (MBA) attended. . . . Don Dizon
’95M (MD) e-mails to say that he and his partner, Henry Stoll, celebrated
the first birthday of their daughter, Isabelle Dizon-Stoll, in July 2003. In attendance were Shari Rothseid ’92, Brian Ossias, Rene Rosen ’92,
and Keli Rosenberg ’92. Don writes that he and his family live in Westchester,
N.Y. He is an attending physician at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center
in New York City. Don is also a coauthor of 100 Questions and Answers about
Ovarian Cancer. . . . Gregg ’89S (MBA) and Shelley Amiruddin Edelmann
write, “We proudly announce the birth of our daughter, Sophia Zulaika.
Sophia was eagerly welcomed into the family on June 6, 2003, by her parents
and six four-legged siblings—two dogs and four cats.” Gregg is a
human resources executive with ExxonMobil in Baton Rouge, and Shelley is a full-time
mother. . . . Lia Fiato Hallett ’98W (MS) e-mails, “I’d like
to report that I never really left the college environment—who knew that
I would become an academic advisor and help college students find their way
in school? I really enjoy my job as senior academic advisor and coordinator
of new student programs at the University at Buffalo. I’ve been here for
seven and a half years. In 1998, I earned a master’s degree from the Warner
School (was supposed to be an Ed.D., but I moved back to Buffalo before I finished!)
I was married in 2000 and live in Colden, N.Y., with my husband and 1-year-old
son, Ethan (born November 21, 2002). Hi to all old acquaintances from Phi Sig,
Medieval House, Phase, etc.” . . . David Kemp, a lieutenant commander
aboard the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy, was profiled in the ship’s
newspaper. He is the training officer for the Kennedy. . . . Jeremy Sarachan
married Marie Pellett in August 2003 at the Inn on Broadway in Rochester. .
. . Caroline Chung Wipff e-mails, “My husband, William G. Wipff, daughter
Josephine, and I welcomed a new baby, Ava Oksoon, to our family on May 23, 2003.”

Cintra Bentley Geairn has joined the Valparaiso, Ind., office of the law firm
Hoeppner Wagner & Evans, where she specializes in labor and employment law.
She previously worked with the Chicago law firm Ross & Hardies. . . . Michael
Roter (see ’95). . . . Melinda Wasserman married David Boxenbaum on November
22, 2003, in New York City. She is the manager of college bookstore marketing
programs at Barnes & Noble in Basking Ridge, N.J., and he is a founder and
the general manager of Octone Records in New York.

Kevin and Amy Perry Gelabert
announce the birth of their second child, daughter Kylie Perry, on July 25,
2003. . . . Alexis Hart e-mails to say that last
August was a busy month for her. Not only did she graduate from the University
of Georgia with a Ph.D. in English, but she also married Michael Crowley, a
Georgia classmate, in her hometown of Klamath Falls, Ore. Alumni who attended
the wedding were Alli Bially with her husband,
Ron, and their daughter, Danielle, Michele Newton Healy
’94, and Jenya Milstone Waxmonsky with her
husband, Steve. . . . Margie Perilstein married
Brian Wargon on March 8, 2003. Attending the wedding were alumnae Deena
Forman Ebright, Jennifer Lata Rung, Meredith Schneider Horowitz, Katherine Leach

married Natalie de Hoff on October 25, 2003, in New York City. Eric is a founder
of and research analyst at Watch Harbor Securities, a stock research firm in
New York. Natalie is a chair of membership education at the New York Junior

Kasper announce the birth of their son, Justin David, on November 17,
2003. He joins big brother, Jack, who was born on October 6, 2001. They live
in the Boston area. . . . Ross Warner writes to
announce his marriage, on August 23, 2003, in Hauppauge, N.Y., to Samantha Adler.

in the Boston area. Tom works in the computer industry, in a banking setting.
He also is taking courses to earn his MBA at Northeastern University. I attained
my law degree from the University of Wyoming in 1998 and am licensed to practice
in Colorado and Massachusetts. I am currently a homemaker and stay-at-home mom.”
. . . Suzanne White writes that she married the
love of her life, Jason Richardson, in fall 2001 and graduated with her MS in
geology from the University of Georgia in winter 2002. Suzanne and Jason live
in Bethlehem, Ga., with their three cats and two dogs.

Robert ’95 and Pamela Simon Adelman e-mail that they welcomed their first
child, Rachel Leigh, on September 5, 2003. . . . Sandra Ambrose ’02S (MBA)
and Daniel Umiker ’01S (MBA) were married March 29, 2003, at the Interfaith
Chapel on the River Campus. Sandra is an information analyst at the University,
and Daniel is a senior manager at Global Crossing. . . . Lori Mihalich Blodorn
e-mails, “My husband, Keith Blodorn, and I are the proud parents of a
new baby girl. Sylvia Charlotte Blodorn was born on August 17 at 5:50 a.m. We
are so thrilled to have her in our lives.” . . . Alison Dickson-Kozloski
’00S (MBA) and her husband, Peter, e-mail, “We proudly announce
the birth of Maya Anne. Maya was born on October 13, 2003. Alison, Peter, Maya,
and the basset hound, Stanley, live in Alexandria, Va.” . . . Scott Ng-Evans
’99M (PhD) writes, “My wife, Linda ’97, and I were married
in May 1997 in Rochester. We moved west to Seattle so that I could accept a
postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Washington. We had our first son,
Daniel Scott, on June 4, 2003.”

Kwiek and Nicole Cartwright were married on August 23, 2003, in Logan,
Ohio. Jesse is a microbiologist at the University of North Carolina, and Nicole
is pursuing her doctoral degree in microbiology at Duke University. They live
in Hillsborough, N.C. . . . Erika Lavyne married
José Garcia-Gonzalez in Water Mill, N.Y., on September 13, 2003. Erika
is a freelance television producer in Miami. . . . Archana
Ramanath Narayan writes, “I received my doctor of medicine degree
from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies,
in 2000. In May 2001, I married Pramodh Narayan, a senior information technology
specialist at IBM, at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center. After medical
school, I went on to complete a pediatric residency at New York Medical College/Westchester
Medical Center in Valhalla, N.Y. Beginning July 2004, I will be pursuing a subspecialty
fellowship in pediatric allergy and immunology at Nassau University Medical
Center in East Meadow, N.Y. My husband and I will be moving to Long Island in

and Ann Felder are planning a March 20 wedding in Pearl River, La., a suburb

company in New Jersey. I’m a trial attorney in Morristown, N.J., and I’m
working on an L.L.M. in health law and public policy at Seton Hall University.

Aaron Hilger is president of the Builders Exchange of Rochester. . . . Thomas
Wiley writes that after completing a tour of duty as a Navy helicopter pilot,
he now is serving as an NROTC instructor at Southern University in Baton Rouge.

Joanna Bloom and Benjamin Josephson were married on September 20, 2003, in White
Plains, N.Y. . . . Ryan Breed is a security consultant for Unisys, where he
tests company security systems and points out weak spots. . . . Christopher
Burns ’99S (MBA) is president and CEO of the Rochester Trolley and Rail
Corp., intended to help revitalize the Greater Rochester area with a leisure-oriented
trolley system. . . . Khuram Chaudhary writes, “I recently completed my
Ph.D. in physiology from the Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia
and am currently working for Pfizer as a post-doc in St. Louis.” . . .
Martha Coria married Jason Pieklik on October 4, 2003. She works for the S.
I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, and he works
for Bartlett Tree Experts in Syracuse. . . . Amy Henion married Mark Fisher
on May 31, 2003, in Pittsford, N.Y. They both work for National Institutes of
Health Rocky Mountain Laboratories in Hamilton, Mont. Amy is a biospecimen manager,
and Mark has a postdoctoral fellowship in Lyme disease. . . . Heather Lantz
graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry last May and now is practicing
in Norwich, N.Y., and Binghamton. . . . Linda Ng-Evans (see ’94). . .

on October 26, 2003, to my longtime girlfriend, Melanie Blumenthal. Mel is a

at 6:12 a.m. She was 9.2 lbs., 19 1/2 in. She is absolutely precious. Thanks

2003, in Providence, R.I. In attendance were Jennifer Showers,

2003 in Westchester, N.Y. She writes, “Len is a
physician currently in his internship in internal medicine at Robert Wood Johnson
University Hospital in New Jersey. After graduating from Rochester, I went on
to get my master’s degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry
of New Jersey and am now a practicing physician assistant in emergency medicine

June 7, 2003. She and her husband, Khalif Williams, live in Blue Hill, Maine,
where Amy works part time for the Blue Hill Co-Op and Khalif is executive director
of the International Institute for Humane Education. . . . Lindsay Greene writes, “Many of my Rochester classmates reunited at my wedding
April 26, 2003, to Dr. Karl Marc Koenig. Our wedding was held at Lord Thompson
Manor in Thompson, Conn. Following a month-long European honeymoon, we relocated
from Houston to West Lebanon, N.H., for my husband to pursue his orthopedic
residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. I work at Dartmouth College

spent eight months aboard the USS Iwo Jima while assigned to the 26th Marine
Expeditionary Unit. The deployment included training and real-world operations
in Iraq and Liberia. . . . Theresa Rinaldi and Jon Nezezon ’89, ’97M
(MS) were married in October 2002 in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Nancy Mendoza Raha ’89, and her

’97 attended. Theresa writes, “We are currently living in Hoboken, N.J. Jon
works for Weill Cornell Medical College, and I am a graduate student at John

Ronald Angona married Teresa Irwin on September 27, 2003. Both work at Strong
Memorial Hospital, where Ronald is a cardiovascular perfusionist and Teresa
is a registered nurse. . . . Michael Aronson writes to say that he completed
his MBA at Canisius College in Buffalo last December. . . . Joshua Boxer announces his engagement to Jessica Rayson. . . . James
Capellupo and Michele Bissonette were married August 23, 2003, in Fairport,
N.Y. Michele teaches preschool and kindergarten and is pursuing an additional
degree in special education. James is a teacher in Pittsford. . . . Carrie Ives married Timothy Little on October
13, 2002, in Ipswich, Mass. In attendance were Andrea

and he is a portfolio manager in the financial institutions group of SunTrust
Banks in Atlanta. . . . Michael Meives married Heather O’Brien on July
26, 2003. They live in Cicero, N.Y.; Michael is a real estate broker, and Heather
is a kindergarten teacher. . . . Stacey Peckham married Darrell Lievense on
May 3, 2003, at the Interfaith Chapel at Rochester. Stacey, who earned a medical
degree at the University of Pennsylvania, is an obstetrics/gynecology resident
at the Women and Infants Hospital in Providence, R.I. Darrell is a Web technology
consultant. . . . Victoria Rutkowski married Patrick Dennis on October 5, 2003,
in Bellport, N.Y. She is a technical consultant with Minneapolis-based Medtronic,
and he is a technical sales manager at EMC. They live in Perinton, N.Y.
