1961
Henry (Pete) French (MA), ’68W (EdD) received the 2008 Harold Hacker Library Lifetime Achievement Award from the Rundel Library Foundation. Pete won this award in honor of his many decades of service on the boards of six Rochester area libraries. A professor emeritus of history at Monroe Community College, Pete is also a retired member of Rochester’s East Asia Center.

1974
Robin Roy (MA) exhibited a collection of 30 photographs of synagogues around the world at the Herberger Theater Center in Phoenix, from December 24, 2008, to January 11, 2009. Robin’s exhibit comes after several years of traveling and photographing synagogues in nations as wide-ranging as Kenya, Turkey, Finland, and Chile. The Synagogue Project, she writes, is “a testament to the resilience of the Jewish people to survive and worship wherever they live.”
