River Campus Undergraduate 1980s

1981

Jill Mestel Squyres writes that in June 2008 she was elected president of the Bexar County Psychological Association in San Antonio, Texas. Jill is a clinical psychologist in private practice and is married with three children, ages 17, 14, and 11.

1982

Randy Sue Kornfeld Marber writes that in 2006 she was elected to the New York State Supreme Court for the 10th Judicial District, which includes Nassau and Suffolk counties. This is her second elected office, the first being her 2001 election as a judge on the Nassau County District Court. She is married to fellow Class of 1982 graduate Paul Kornfeld. . . . Kenneth Branham is the new commander of the Naval Reserve Program Executive Officer for Tactical Aircraft Program. He is based at the Naval Air Station in Patuxent River, Md.

1984

Steve Kapner writes that he has been promoted to captain on the Airbus A330 and A340 families of aircraft at Emirates Airlines in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where he is based.

1987

Dale Borchert writes that in 2005 he was elected to the LaGrange Town Board in Dutchess County, N.Y., and in 2009 he intends to run for the Dutchess County Legislature. He added: “After leaving Rochester, I received my MS in environmental science from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in 1989. I currently manage a laboratory with the New York City water supply. I am married to Beth Wells and we have two great kids, Kathy, 13, and Tommy, 11.”

David Townes is an associate professor of emergency medicine at the University of Washington and an editor of Expedition and Wilderness Medicine (Cambridge University), a guide for health care professionals treating conditions related to extreme environments.
