DEGREES OF HAPPINESS: Members of the Class of 2017 celebrate after their degrees are formally conferred during this spring’s Arts, Sciences & Engineering commencement ceremony on the Eastman Quadrangle. Altogether, more than 3,100 degrees—including bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorates—were bestowed during ceremonies that brought together students, faculty, family members, and distinguished alumni and guests (see page 51).
