Winter Internship with Startups

NextCorps is a non-profit that helps entrepreneurs launch and grow successful startups, and established companies grow their revenues and profitability. The Startup Support Intern will work directly with some of the 50+ startup companies in NextCorps’ incubation program, helping them move forward on a variety of projects critical to their success. This is an unpaid internship position, and can be structured for academic credit based on the educational objectives and requirements of the college or university degree program.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with Community Manager to identify client needs and prioritize projects
  • Work directly with startup staff to understand project needs and complete tasks. Projects may include market research, customer discovery, competitive landscapes, lead identification/qualification, content and social media marketing, website design and financial modeling.
  • Work with Incubator Director and Community Manager to deliver programming designed to engage NextCorps’ startup community, which may include workshops, founder roundtables, mentor meeting and social/networking events.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be currently enrolled in accredited college program and in good academic standing (at least a 2.75+ grade point average) with relevant coursework.
  • Candidate must have the ability to work 10+ hours per week during the internship with flexibility for additional hours for special projects events.
