Resources for Support Staff
Effective spring 2019, the Learning Center's room reservation policy is as follows:
- Create your PLTL Workshop sessions in UR Student.
- It is the policy of the Registrar's office (which the Learning Center concurs with) that all course-related sessions (e.g., Lecture, Lab, PLTL Workshops, Recitations) should be listed in UR Student and be placed in rooms by the Registrar's office.
- It is the Learning Center's policy that only PLTL Workshops that are listed in UR Student can be scheduled in a Learning Center room.
- Request non-Learning Center rooms through the Registrar’s Office.
- If the Registrar is unable to place your PLTL Workshops or if the room they gave is not suitable to your needs, you can request space through the Learning Center through these steps:
- Email learning@rochester.edu to see if any rooms are available for your day/time.
Options are 1-160 N : capacity 8, 1-160 A : capacity 12, and 1-160 B : capacity 16 - If available, the center will hold the room until a confirmation from the Registrar arrives.
- Call/email the Registrar to request that your PLTL Workshop be moved to the Learning Center. The Registrar will call us and we will then be able to confirm your hold and the room will be available for your PLTL Workshop.
- Email learning@rochester.edu to see if any rooms are available for your day/time.
- Reservations in the center's rooms do not roll over from one semester to the next. Reservations will need to be made for each semester even if the space was granted in previous semesters.
