Fall Family Orientation

Overview

We are thrilled to welcome you to the University of Rochester family. Before we welcome your student to campus and they begin their first semester, we want to make sure your family has all the tools and information it needs to be successful. If you have any questions, contact the Office of Orientation and First-Year Programs at orientation@rochester.edu.

The College's orientation is designed to introduce both incoming students and their families to University academics and student life, and consists of two parts:

1. Rochester Ready: Online Orientation

Fall 2022 Dates: Tuesday, May 10 to Friday, August 19, 2022

This component consists of online information sessions, webinars, and weekly communications, designed to provide you and your student with important information about joining the Rochester community. While your student will have their own schedule of online sessions, we've designed a separate set of sessions just for parents and families to help you engage with University offices and departments and connect with fellow families.

2. Fall Welcome Week
